Dr. Michelle Westerfeld
DVM
Dr. Michelle Westerfeld is a 1994 graduate of Murray State University with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. Michelle then went on to be a 1998 graduate of Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a member of the Kentucky Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Westerfeld has enjoyed practicing both small and large animal medicine since graduating from veterinary school but is now dedicated to small animal medicine.
Michelle lives in Murray with her husband Michael and children, Mathew, and Maddie.
She has a dog named Apollo, and 2 horses.
She and her husband are members of Journey church and enjoy working on her farm and riding horses in her spare time.
Dr. Terry Canerdy
DVM
Dr. Terry Canerdy graduated from University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 1982. He opened Murray Animal Hospital in 1990 to provide quality care to small animals.
He has co-authored 25 articles dealing with health issues in dogs and is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Kentucky Veterinary Medical Association, Murray Rotary Club, Association of Veterinary Technician Educators, and the American Society of Veterinary Clinical Pathology.
Amanda
Practice Manager
Amanda is our Practice Manager and has been employed with Murray Animal Hospital since 2003, where she started as an Animal Caretaker while attending Murray State University.
Amanda has since made Murray Ky her hometown where she raises her son, Devon, and cares for her three cats, two dogs, Ellie Mae, and a rescue dog named Lucy, along with her three horses.
During her spare time she enjoys anything outdoors, especially riding horses, fishing, hunting, and kayaking.
Morgan
LVT
They were born and raised in Louisville, KY and have come to call Murray, KY home. Morgan and their partner Catherine have a small zoo of furry family members including 3 dogs: Mia, Bellatrix, and Elliot and 5 cats: Callifer, Murray, Nugget, Ponyo, and Jiji. Morgan is an avid house bunny and horse lover and hopes to grow the furry family to include bunnies and horses again in the future. In their spare time, Morgan enjoys spending time outside hiking, painting, and spending time with family and friends.
Racheal
LVT
Racheal is a licensed Veterinary Technologist graduating from Murray State University in 2005. Racheal graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. She was born and raised in Murray where she currently resides with her daughter, Jaselyn. She has two cats, Phoenix and Poofanie, and a rescue dog named Jingles.
In her spare time, Racheal enjoys being outdoors, especially on the lake or at the beach.
Celeste
LVT
Celeste is a licensed Veterinary Technician and has been employed at Murray Animal Hospital since May 2012 as an Animal Caretaker and Client Coordinator. She is a 2014 graduate of Murray State University with an Animal Health Technology degree.
Celeste spends most of her time with her daughter Cadence and her family. She has two dogs, Charlie and Coca, and three cats, Momma, Timmy, and Meela.
Hanna
LVT
Hanna is a licensed Veterinary Technician and has been with Murray Animal Hospital since 2020. She is originally from Murray KY and calls this area home. In her spare time she enjoys anything outdoors and riding side by sides on her days off. Hanna has a dog named, Willie and a cat named Cornbread.
